This was made to be the cover of my dear friend Alberto Vieira "Zeca Vai à Praia" album, who reinterpreted some of José Afonso songs and launched digitally by Costa Nova bandcamp. Found it here and enjoy this beautiful project: https://costanovapt.bandcamp.com/album/zeca-vai-praia

José Afonso is the greatest Portuguese singer-songwriter.
Known around the world for his light and traditional compositions, but at the same time of tremendous complexity, his songs are strongly linked to protest music and the Portuguese Carnation Revolution of 25th of April 1974.

But what if without the weight of his message, his songs could be heard with another sense?

That was the starting point for ZECA VAI À PRAIA, a work with all the aesthetics of Balearic music. If we remove Zeca’s voice and the political message - and extend the songs -, the music is perfect for a sunset in an "off-season" Ibiza, proving, once again, Zeca's genius.
Alberto Vieira dug into the music of Zeca Afonso with no connotations or dictatorships involved, and took his music to a place where it has never been.

This print will come with a card with the link to Costa Nova Bandcamp, for free download.
